Instant pot lemon chicken tips and tricks

There are some tips and tricks to get amazing results.

1.    Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs: Chicken thighs are more tender and flavorful than chicken breasts, and they work well in the Instant Pot because they won't dry out during pressure cooking.

2.    Add lemon juice: For a bright and tangy lemon flavor, Use freshly squeezed lemon juice. The lemon juice adds acidity and freshness.

3.    Sear the chicken before pressure cooking: To add extra flavor to your lemon chicken, sear the chicken thighs in the Instant Pot on the sauté setting before pressure cooking. This will create a nice crust and seal in the juices.

4.    Use chicken broth or white wine: Adding chicken broth or white wine to the Instant Pot will help deglaze the pot after searing the chicken, and it will also add flavor to the dish. You can use either chicken broth or white wine, or a combination of both, depending on your preference.

5.    Season generously: Don't be shy with the seasonings! Use a good amount of salt, pepper, and herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and parsley to enhance the flavors of the lemon chicken.

6.    Use the natural release method: When the Instant Pot has finished cooking, allow the pressure to release naturally for a few minutes before using the quick-release method. This will help the chicken to retain its moisture and prevent it from becoming dry.

7.    Thicken the sauce if desired: If you want a thicker sauce, you can use the sauté function on the Instant Pot after pressure cooking to reduce and thicken the liquid. You can also mix some cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the sauce to thicken it.

8.    Be careful of cook time: Chicken thighs usually cook quickly in the Instant Pot, so be careful not to overcook them. Follow the recommended cook time for your recipe to ensure the chicken is cooked through but still tender and juicy.

9.    Serve with your favorite sides: Instant Pot lemon chicken pairs well with a variety of side dishes, such as rice, pasta, sweet potato salad, or a simple green salad. Choose your favorite sides to complete the meal.

10. Garnish with fresh herbs: Just before serving, sprinkle some freshly chopped herbs, such as parsley or cilantro, on top of the lemon chicken for a burst of color and freshness.

Note: Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the size and thickness of the chicken breasts. Always ensure that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
